Using IPL
Does IPL hurt?
Most people feel a warm snap, like a light rubber-band flick. Start on level 1 and go up only when it feels comfortable.
When will I see results?
Hair usually starts growing back slower and finer after a few weeks of weekly sessions. Everyone is different, so results vary.
Is IPL hair removal permanent?
IPL gives long-lasting hair reduction rather than guaranteed permanent removal. After the first 4 to 8 weeks of weekly sessions, most people keep their results with a touch-up every 2 to 4 weeks, or when they notice regrowth.
Is it right for my skin and hair?
IPL works best on darker hair. It does not work on white, grey, light blonde or red hair, and it is not suitable for very dark skin tones. Do a small patch test 24 hours before your first full session.
Where can I use it?
Legs, arms, underarms, bikini line and the face below the cheekbones. Never use it near the eyes or over tattoos, dark moles or broken skin. See our step-by-step guide.
Can men use an IPL device?
Yes, on the body below the neck, such as the chest, back, arms and legs. The same skin tone and hair colour guidance applies. Do not use it on the face or beard area.

Which IPL device should I choose?
For a first IPL on a budget, choose the SilkenLume Essential. For more comfortable sessions, pick one from the ice-cooling range. For quicker sessions on legs and arms, the SilkenLume Pure has a large flash window. For face, underarms, bikini line and body attachments, choose the Philips IPL device. How many flashes does the lamp last?
It depends on the device. The SilkenLume Pulse Pro is rated for 990,000 flashes. For other models, message us on WhatsApp with the device name and we will share its rating.

Which Dyson Airwrap should I choose?
Choose the Airwrap i.d. (HS08) for everyday curls and waves. Choose the Airwrap Co-anda2x (HS09) for faster drying and more defined curls.
Will heat styling damage my hair?
Any heat can dry hair out over time. Use a heat-protect spray, start on a lower heat and avoid going over the same section again and again.
How do I look after my styler?
Unplug it and let it cool fully before you put it away. Wipe it with a dry cloth, and clean the air filter regularly so the airflow stays strong.
Payment, delivery and warranty
How do I pay?
Cash on Delivery all over Pakistan. You pay the rider when your order arrives.
How long does delivery take?
Orders are usually delivered in 3 to 5 days anywhere in Pakistan. Delivery is free.
What does the 1-year warranty cover?
Every device we sell has a 1-year SilkenLume warranty against manufacturing faults, for example if the device does not switch on, heat up, flash or charge. Contact us with your order number and we will repair or replace it. Read the full warranty.
Can I return the device if I change my mind?
Yes. Unused devices in their original, sealed packaging can be returned within 7 days of delivery. Return delivery is paid by the customer, and we refund the full product price once we receive and check the device.
